The Mavericks are one of the best live bands around. Their music is a blend of rock, country and Tejano (Tex-Mex) that has crisscrossed musical boundaries for 30 years.
The band has gone through three different phases of its existence, each marked by big hits and critical acclaim. They were a hit during the ’90s, went on hiatus and then came back together to record a long-awaited reunion album in 2012.
Now they’re taking their eclectic fusion to another level with their first all Spanish album, En Espanol. The album features a wide variety of Latin American genres – salsa, ska, norteno and mariachi – with streaks of irreverent rock and the Mavericks’ signature country/rock/Tex-Mex style.
The Mavericks are on the road now, touring behind their new album. Tickets to their Albuquerque concert are on sale at CheapoTicketing.
